YCADA has officially launched the Y101PW training course, The Coach’s Manual – Everything You Need to Coach Youth Cheer & Dance, for 2017!

This training has been designed for Pop Warner coaching staff, and is mandatory for all Pop Warner Cheer & Dance coaching staff listed on the spirit roster.

The objective of this course is to both educate and motivate. We want to get your creative juices flowing. All aspects of coaching youth athletes will be discussed - everything from dreaded ‘paperwork’ to exciting championship preparation! We know you’re busy, so our goal is to keep this course to-the-point while covering all important elements of youth cheer and dance.

Follow these instructions to sign up for the course:

1. Go to https://www.ycada.org/y101pw-course.
2. Click on the "Register" button to purchase the course.
3. Fill our your account and payment info and click "Submit".
4. You will receive three (3) total emails.
5. Open the email from [email protected].
6. Click on the link to the course to get to the main log-in page.
7. Enter your new username and password and follow the instructions!

If you are a Pop Warner Coach, the National Pop Warner office recognizes the National Center for Sports Safety (NCSS) PREPARE Sports Safety course as meeting their requirements in the Rule Book Article 15: Practice, Item #S3 requirements, which states:

“All practices must be attended by one person holding a Red Cross Community CPR and a First Aid certification OR National Center for Sports Safety PREPARE Certificate of Completion, or equivalent, if not by an EMT or volunteer physician.”
